Legislative History: Law 10-254, the “Term Limits Initiative of 1995,” was submitted to the electors of the District of Columbia as Initiative No. 49. The results of the voting, certified by the Board of Elections and Ethics on November 8, 1994, were 83,865 for the Initiative and 52,116 against the Initiative. It was transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review on February 7, 1995.
