Legislative History: Law 5-32, the “District of Columbia Income and Franchise Tax Conformity Act of 1983,” was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 5-103, which was referred to the Committee on Finance and Revenue. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on June 28, 1983 and July 12, 1983, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on July 21, 1983, it was assigned Act No. 5-54 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review.
